July 2004. South
East Golf Car Company in Cleveland gave Wishes Can
Happen this golf car for ten year old Lauren at below
cost. Greentown Art Gallery/Action Signs donated the
decals. (cancer)
Cleveland Cavalier’s
announcer Jeff Shreve offered a special opportunity
for one of our families. Ridge Miller and his father
received VIP seats and treatment at a Cleveland Cavs
game, including a meet and greet session with the
team prior to the game. Here is Ridge pictured with
his new friend made at the game.
The 4th Annual Pratt Family Golf Outing was held July
26, 2003. This is an annual event held in honor of Fred
Pratt, Sr. He loved golfing, as well as children. Each
year the family sponsors the wish of a child through
Wishes Can Happen. Micah Yoder, age 10,
will be going on a fishing trip in Alaska in summer
2004. Brother Bracy, age 5, will also be receiving a
wish from Wishes Can Happen.

Larry Lisic and his wife hosted the 10th Annual
Wishes Can Happen golf tournament
in July at Riceland Golf Course in Orrville. Larry
and Mary Lou feel very blessed to have two children,
and want to give back to the community. Larry is
the Pro at Riceland, and also a Pro at organizing
fund raisers! They once again sponsored the wish
of a local child who visited Williamsburg, Virginia.
She will be learning a lot about history, as well
as take in a roller coaster or two!
Dr. Thomas Rench, Emergency Medicine, Alliance Community
Hospital, spends his spare time piloting a Vietnam
era O2A Warbird. He offered to give some of our wish
kids a ride on this exciting flying machine. Tim Ness
and Joseph Millican of Canton South (both recipients
of wishes from Wishes Can Happen) were
the lucky riders on a beautiful evening July 17, 2003.
Tim invited his brother, Joe, to join him on his ride,
and Joseph's dad, Derrel, snagged a ride with him.
Very special thanks to Dr. Rench!
